The shares continue to slide for "Facebook" because "Facebook" never should have been selling shares in the first place. Seriously ? Whom was Mark Zuckerberg kidding ? Anyone can create a fake email account via gmail , yahoo or spoof email account to open an account for "Facebook" .
When there are issues with a Facebook account, there is literally NO ONE available to "speak" to. No 800 number to call and NO PERSON per se to contact for assistance. Human beings need to speak to a company representive when they are being harassed; spoofed; being bullied; being impersonated or having issues with their account. All of those things happen frequently on Facebook and the reality is, there is no way to contact a living, breathing human being on "Facebook".
One of my biggest issues with "Facebook" (and I am sure many individuals will agree) are the large amount of HATE groups that do nothing but go to an individual's profile and "pretend" to be a "friend". To me, "Facebook" is one of the worst tangled webs of deceptive websites anyone can become involved with. My personal facebook account was attacked repeatedly and then impersonated by malicious individuals. My personal photos were copied and then spread to hate groups. Yes I knew whom did it. Yes I repeatedly tried to contact facebook. Mark Zuckerberg never should have taken facebook public as a company selling "shares" because of the fact anyone can fake email accounts to "pretend" to be a 'friend' and no one is really your 'friend' on facebook unless you actually know them. The individual spreads rumors about the specific individual that has been targeted after pretending to be a 'friend' and then they copy your personal photos so they can then spread them all over facebook where multiple hate groups exist.
Becoming a 'friend' is as easy as pretending that you play "sims social"; "cafe world" or "farmville". An individual whom is a member of facebook has to be careful then of that person's mutual friends and then THEIR mutual friends...and on and on and on. When I first became involved with Facebook, I did not realize this nonsense existed. I became aware of after it was far too late to do anything except delete my profile because I had nearly 5000 "friend" connections!
I am quite sure that Mark Zuckerberg has been far too busy to pay attention to the reality of Facebook. I am positive it sounded exciting to sell shares for Facebook in the beginning. I discussed the possibility of purchasing some shares, however, after giving it some extensive thought, I knew it was a bad idea. Facebook is much like "MySpace" and "Twitter". People will grow tired of it sooner or later. You can only take so much of "Sims Social" ; "Cafe World" ; "Farmville" and telling people about your life and then you realize...you need to get a life! I actually enjoy the commercial where the girl is claiming she has 'friends' on facebook and her parents don't have but so many and yet, her parents are out having the time of their life with REAL friends and the girl is sitting at home, alone, looking at a photo of a puppy! Yes....I mean...get a life with real friends and go do something positive with real people OUTSIDE of the computer. The commercials actually do have a true message. GET A LIFE! I had no true friends on facebook (still don't) and I discovered the accounts I had were impersonated, had multiple problems because a family member disgraced my account after I shared my password with her for playing the stupid facebook games and I needed assistance on my account. I deleted many of the accounts I had and still know to this day, the same individuals have access to the account because of the same issue. The person I shared my password with shared the information to another individual and actually connected people to my account without my permission. Had there been an 800 number for me to call regarding my issue with my Facebook account, I could have gotten my problem solved. However, no such number exists. No shares should ever have been sold for Facebook. I think everyone whom purchased shares for that company were foolish. If Facebook wants to act like a responsible company, they should have actual people available when problems like I had, available instantly by having a 1-800 number so that members can call Facebook and get their problems solved. That company is nothing but a tangled web of deception as far as I am concerned.
I believe an individual filed a lawsuit against Facebook because they were bullied by others and had similar issues that I had. Multiple members are bullied by "hate groups" that exist on facebook and the company doesn't do anything about it. They in fact permit hate groups to exist on Facebook and because of this fact, I think everyone whom purchased shares should dump them! All they are doing is helping promote hate as well as cyberbulling. It's a major issue on Facebook.
Many Facebook members wanted an unlimited friend policy. Many Facebook members did not like the timeline change. Many Facebook members did not like the fact their privacy was not fully protected and I sure as hell was one of those members. Everytime changes were made, there were a problem with privacy not being protected. There is a huge issue with "mutual" friends and "friends of friends" and now this "circle" thing. People on Facebook will friend you and then immediately block you! What the heck is that about ? Then there is no way to get rid of them and no way to contact someone on Facebook to help you. After a family member caused problems with multiple facebook accounts that I had, I had no way to contact Facebook to assist me. That individual caused so many problems with my multiple accounts that all I saw were "spaces" where the "friend connection" should be. Because I could not obtain assistance from Facebook to help me with this problem, I had to delete the accounts. It was just absurd in itself. I hate it for Mark Zuckerberg that he did work very hard trying to make Facebook successful to the point he could sell shares, but frankly speaking, Facebook is a social media "fad" .
I wouldn't put too much blame on Mark Zuckerberg himself. Facebook was a good idea, but the website itself is riddled with multiple problems! I would blame everyone involved with creating the Facebook website and for NOT putting into place an 800 number for the members to call when problems arise.
There is literally NO human being available for a Facebook member to speak to when an issue crops up with their account! NOT being there for a Facebook member will be the death of Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg may face not only the loss of a wonderful idea he created...but possible bankruptcy.
